Aspen are proud to support a grassroots volunteer effort to manufacture and distribute personal protection equipment (PPE) face screens to front-line care health workers. All across the world, individuals are taking it upon themselves to find ways to help mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 crisis. One of these efforts is a project by individual volunteers across Ireland to print PPE on their own 3D printing machines. They are doing this with the help of the armed forces ,who are assembling, packaging, cleaning, and delivering the PPE.

The initiative is being coordinated by the Benchspace Maker Group. Aspen’s contribution will help this group to deliver 4,800 PPE face shields directly to health care workers on the front line of the Covid-19 fight this week. It will be used to purchase materials that will be processed and packed immediately, for distribution for the Health Service Executive  to be used by community nurses and smaller organizations.

We salute the ingenuity and generosity of the volunteer community, who are showing just what can be achieved with some hard work and creativity. If you wish to support this great initiative, you can donate here.
