A huge congratulations to Aspen Grove CEO, Seán Ryan who was named ‘Business Leader of the Year’ by the Kerry Innovation Centre at its 2023 Business Leaders Gala Dinner. This event celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit and achievements of Kerry business owners.
Chair of the Kerry Innovation Centre Brid McElligott, who was master of ceremonies on the night announced the win as Mr. Ryan was recognized for his growth of a global business and his ongoing contribution to sustainable regional development.
.As CEO of Aspen Grove, Ryan has always been committed to overall industry improvement and to making a positive impact on the communities in which Aspen operates, on both sides of the Atlantic. Since becoming Aspen CEO in 2008, he has more than tripled the size of the company and led Aspen Grove to be a recognized industry leader. In 2022, the company celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Ryan celebrated his award with family and friends saying ‘Lots of people hold where they came from dearly and I am no different— Kerry is in my heart. I owe this fantastic place something of me because it has given me so much and continues to do so’. Rugby legend Mick Galway congratulated the winners as he delivered the after-dinner speech.
Congratulations also to Aoife Ní Mhuirí, CEO of Salaso who was awarded Emerging Business Leader of the Year and to Patricia Quane, formerly Astellas for her Lifetime Achievement Award.
