The roots of our story

Named after the Fishlake National Forest in Utah, Aspen Grove was founded on the belief that technology can evolve business ambitions to ever more productive, more efficient, and more sustainable plateaus. Our complete focus and deep expertise lies in transforming the mortgage servicing industry.

Originally established in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1997, Aspen Grove has grown into an international business with operations in the United States and Europe. Over the years, Aspen Grove has evolved to focus on the mortgage servicing industry and has invested in building technology and processes capability that are unique to the industry.

2008

Aspen Grove opens its office in Frederick, Maryland, where it is now based. Following a shareholder buyout, Sean Ryan is announced as Aspen’s CEO. In the same year, Aspen launches Aspen iProperty® Vendor Portal for inspection management.

2017

Aspen releases its ‘Protection & Preservation’ module enabling cost control and recovery, investor allowable management, the elimination of bill-backs, vendor oversight, compliance & reputational risk, quality control, and community safety. There are now over 20k vendors being managed on the Aspen Grove Platform.

Having led Aspen Grove for many years, Sean is now the Executive Chair for the company. He has spent more than 25 years perfecting the build, implementation, and integration of software platforms. Sean is on the board of or involved with several other companies, including start-ups such as Shield Hub and other projects such as The Valentia Cable Foundation.

Before being named CEO in November 2023, Mike was Aspen’s COO, specializing in technical engineering, project management, and software development. Mike has a background in programming and development that gives him a unique focus when deploying enterprise solutions for customers and partners.

David is an experienced technologist who specializes in technical infrastructure and integration projects, David has a background in software development and infrastructure automation and focuses on enhancing operations and product integrations within Aspen Grove.

The Aspen Platform delivers an inclusive user experience, regardless of visual, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. We conform to the WCAG 2.0 and Section 508 standards with a particular focus on AA and AAA success criteria. Tools used in testing consist of Google Lighthouse, Wave Evaluation, Google Screen Reader and WebAim together with a series of inhouse checks.
