Aspen was delighted to participate in the spring meeting of the Property Insurance and Restoration Conference (PIRC). The key attraction of PIRC is that participants are encouraged to air their views on topics central to the property restoration industry, and they get the opportunity to discuss problems and solutions with other industry professionals. Topics at February’s event included lessons learned from disaster events, best practices for photo documentation, current background check requirements, and new technology.
Who Is the Audience?
PIRC is for everybody connected to the property insurance and restoration sectors. National leaders in their fields and other key figures make it their business to attend. Expect to see representatives from restoration companies of all sizes, as well as the insurance industry, IP, vendors and other key players. The goal of these meetings is to bring all sides together to discuss issues.
This was a one-day event running from 9AM through to an evening reception at 5.30PM. Topics covered included reciprocity and other governmental and regulatory items, lessons learned from recent disasters, restorer requirements, photo documentation best practice, and background checks.
RIA gave a special presentation on its TPA task force.
